The new cookery is not quite up and running but we’ve almost arrived. Austin rates off the charts. We are digging in with our forks and spoons and checking out the local scene. I’m counting my coins–as always–and spending my money on bread. The boys love the warm tortilla samples at HEB And we’ve learned how to prepare them at home like the locals, thanks to a tortilla expert. Austin foodies, don’t be shy. Please point me in the best directions to explore the food scene from the get go. Special thanks go out to Mr. L for the Central Market ins and outs! My grocery bags are ready.

How about some tamales? Had some over at 3 Margaritas but your homemade ones, to die for. What’s next?

Tamales and chili, maybe?
