Managing risk . . . food allergies and EpiPens

Some people simply can’t go out and about without toting a purse, bag or backpack – not for lip gloss, your lunch, phone or even your ATM card. If you care for a loved one with food allergies, you’re packing that EpiPen. Snub fashion and wear your emergency bag if you need to stay hands-free. I’m forever carrying an EpiPen and it’s become second nature.

Most importantly, don’t leave EpiPens in the car to heat up in warm, sunny weather. As we usher in April here in Texas, temperatures are on the rise.
